We provide the advice people need for the problems they face. We offer information and advice on a wide range of issues to those living or working in Northampton and Wellingborough and some of our specialist services cover the whole of West Northamptonshire and North Northamptonshire and beyond.

Our service is free, confidential, independent and impartial. We will not judge you, persuade you or tell you what you should do. We will listen, explain all the options available to you and advise you on the course of action you decide to take. It is about helping you to understand both your rights and responsibilities so you can make informed choices about the problems you face.

Campaigning

By campaigning, we help many more people than we can directly support. We use the evidence from our clients to challenge policy makers to improve their policies and practices. You can find information about this on the Research and Campaigns pages on this website.

Diversity

We value diversity, promote equality and challenge discrimination. On average, over 40% of the clients CENCA supports are people with disabilities and long term health conditions, and 18% of our clients are from Black, Asian and Minority Ethnic backgrounds.

Last year, our brilliant and dedicated CENCA advisers supported over 8,000 clients, earning them almost £6 million in benefits - that is not only a boost to local people and their families, it is a boost to our local economy.
